Status register sets
There are two status register sets in the status structure of the instrument: Standard Event Status and
Questionable Event Status.
Standard Event Register
The bit definition of the Standard Event Register is shown in the following table.
You will have to use the *ESE command and the appropriate decimal value for each bit to set the
enable register mask.
For example, enable “operation complete” by using the *ESE 1 command.
All errors in the error queue are recorded as an error condition (including bits 2, 3, 4, or 5 of the
Standard Event Register). The only exception is if you read the error queue using the
SYSTem:ERRor? command.
All reading overload conditions are reported to the Standard Event Register bit 3 from the
Questionable Data Event Register bits 0, 1, or 9. However, no reading overload conditions are
reported to the instrument's Error Queue.
