For details, refer to the system manual.

Serial interface

The module offers 1 configurable serial interface (X51A SI) at the front side,
which can be used in different modes. The mode can be set on the software
side.

6.8.1

RS-232-C interfaces

Via RS-232-C interface participants can comminicate by point-to-point con-
nection. The wire has to be shielded.

Bus termination

Information

The RS-232-C bus does not require bus termination.

To deactivate bus termination the DIP switch (S1) on the front of the module
is set (see "Serial interface configuration").
