7.4.4 Error 9 R3300 IO1 board is not
functioning
CAUSE A
Communication between the main CPU and R3300
is not working properly.
SOLUTION A
• The Ethernet cable between the R3300 and the
internal Ethernet switch may be faulty. Try with a
spare cable and replace the cable if needed.
• If also error 12 is shown, check the cable between
the main CPU and the internal Ethernet switch. Try
with a spare cable and replace the cable if needed.
• Check the internal Ethernet switch and replace if
needed:
- Appropriate leds are lit: each port having a
cable connected should have the link led
on.
- The specified voltage level is present in
power connector of the switch.
CAUSE B
The R3300 IO board software is incompatible with
the main CPU software. State commanded for
beeper is not matching the feedback value.
SOLUTION B
Update the software(s). Verify that the versions list-
ed by the s2terminal command “login” match ver-
sions.txt in the software update package.
CAUSE C
The R3300 IO board is faulty and therefore not re-
sponding.
SOLUTION C
Replace the board.
