3 Changing the replacement turbine
CAUTION
Residues in the head or cover of the spare turbine.
Malfunctions.
▶ Remove potential residues of a defective spare turbine such as spring wash‐
ers or other parts from the head casing or cover.
Remove the lid
▶ Place the wrench on the cover of the turbine, making sure that the catches are
properly seated.
▶ Press the wrench toward the cover and unscrew the cover in counterclockwise
direction.
Take out defective rotor and brake ring
▶ Remove defective rotor and brake ring from the head casing using the short
end of the stamp.
Remove the O-rings
▶ Remove the O-rings from the head housing and cover with tweezers.
Remove the spring washers
▶ Remove the spring washers form the head casing and cover using tweezers.
Clean
▶ Before installation of the new replacement turbine, thoroughly clean the head
housing and lid with a brush and tap water, and then dry them.
