Operation
Note
Opening the chuck will lock the handpiece; in the event of unintentional opera‐
tion, the control will switch to error mode.
The combination of the control unit and handpiece must be approved by KaVo.

Operating the knee control and tabletop control
5.1.1
Setting the speed limit
▶ Switch the device on.
The speed limit of 30 000 rpm is set.
The LED in the "Speed limit" button does not light up.
5.1.2
Setting direction of rotation
▶ Press the "Rotational direction" button to change the direction of rotation of
the handpiece.
Clockwise: LED in "Rotational direction" button does not light up. The speed
limit depends on the presetting.
Counterclockwise: LED in "Rotational direction" button lights up. The speed is
limited to 5,000 rpm.
5.1.3
Setting speed with knee control unit
▶ Set the desired maximum speed with the "Speed" switch ①.
The speed is shown in display ③.
▶ Press knee switching plate ② to continuously adjust the desired speed.
The speed of the handpiece can be adjusted between 1,000 rpm and the de‐
sired maximum speed.
