1 Safety
1.1 Purpose - proper use
The replacement turbine is
▪ a replacement part for the indicated turbines, and any kind of improper use is
impermissible and can be hazardous.
According to these regulations, this medical device may only be used for the de‐
scribed application by a knowledgeable user. The following must be observed:
▪ the applicable health and safety regulations
▪ the applicable accident prevention regulations
▪ the applicable instructions for use of the medical device
According to these regulations, the user is required to:
▪ only use properly operating equipment,
▪ use the equipment for the proper purpose,
▪ to protect him- or herself, the patient, and third parties from hazards.
▪ to avoid contamination by the product.
1.2 Safety instructions
CAUTION
Injury or damage due to wear.
Irregular running noise, significant vibration, overheating, imbalance or insuffi‐
cient grip.
▶ Stop work and seek service support.

KaVo accepts no liability for damage arising from repairs that have been carried
out inappropriately.
The following persons are authorised to exchange the spare turbine:
▪ Technicians at KaVo branches throughout the world
▪ Technicians of authorized dealers specially trained by KaVo
▪ Independent technicians specially trained by KaVo
▪ The dentist
