2 Setup methods according to ISO 17664 | 2.10 Preparation of the amalgam separator
Starting the tube washing function
▶
Press the "HYDROclean" button.
ð
The tube washing function starts.
Note
DEKASEPTOL (DEKAPURE) Gel is pumped into the spittoon bowl during the
tube washing process. Use a brush to distribute the DEKASEPTOL
(DEKAPURE) Gel and clean the bowl.
The upper indicating diode will light up when the tube washing process is fin-
ished.
▶ Remove the suction hoses from the hose cleaning attachment and place
them in the appropriate location.
ð
The tube washing function is completed.
The process can be discontinued at any time by pressing the "HYDROclean"
button.
2.10 Preparation of the amalgam separator
The following systems can be used as options:
▪ "Dürr" Amalgam separator
▪ Preparation for external wet suction for connection to a central amalgam
separator
▪ "Dürr" separation kit
Optimal care of the amalgam separation system includes the correct and regu-
lar use of the HYDROclean function and use of DEKASEPTOL gel.

Replacing the amalgam container
▶ Turn off the treatment centre.

Remove the cover.

Replace the amalgam container according to the instructions for use of the
amalgam separator.
