5.1 Operation in general

5.1.1 Switching the DSEclinical type 5198 on

The control automatically recognises the instrument in question

(e.g. KL motor, turbine or PiezoLED).

Note

Once an instrument has been taken out of the holder, the other holders are
disabled. If a second instrument is removed from a holder, it is only recog-
nised after the first instrument is put back.
If several instruments are removed, they are enabled on the dentist's ele-
ment from left (holder 1) to right (holder 3).

Note

If the device is connected to the treatment unit with a common media sup-
ply, this treatment unit must first be turned on. Only then is the device con-
nected to the media.
