7.4. Load Distribution and Load
Limits of Tractor Semi-trailer
Combination
•
Ensure that you made a proper load
distribution in compliance with all
laws, rules, and regulations.
•
In the loading process, take the
loading limits, total weight, and axle
load capacities into the account.
•
Ensure that you have performed the
loading in compliance with the laws
and regulations of all countries
where you drive the vehicle.
The axle loads of the tractor/semi-trailer
combination may vary in a broad range
in relation to the various loading condi-
tions. Comply with the permissible axle
loads specified in the operation manual
or the axle manufacturer's manual.
Whenever you are in doubt, have your
loads checked at a proper weighing
station.
*Axle load: This is the load conveyed
by an axle or an axle group.
7.5. Load Securing Rails
Your vehicle has optional load securing
rails on the side panel, roof and front
panel. These rails can be mounted on
the panel or integrated into the panel.
Load securing rails
These rails should never be
used
for
double-decker
transportation.
7.6. Load Securing Profiles
Fast fixation of the load can be achieved
by attaching load fixing profiles between
the load fixing rails. These profiles
should only be used for the purpose of
securing the load.
The transported load should be fixed
from both the front and the back with the
help of these profiles so that there is no
gap in between.
Round type load securing profile
In some vehicles without load securing
rails, load securing profiles made of rub-
ber/polyamide material on both ends are
optionally offered. Panels must not be
damaged during the fixing of these pro-
files. These profiles can be stored in the
area located at the rear entrance of the
vehicle and seen in the photo below.
