Light detection
Introduction
The Light detection application allows you to use the SmartVision3 camera to tell you the level of
light where you are.
Detect a light
Point the back of the phone in the desired direction. SmartVision3 announces the percentage of
luminosity detected. The higher the percentage, the more intense the light. The lower the
percentage, the weaker the light.
Good to know: you can change the type of announcement via the Menu key (Percentage or
sound). This option is also available as a direct shortcut with the key 1.
Lookout
Introduction
The Lookout application is a standard Google app that allows you to perform object and text
recognition via the SmartVision3 camera. Please refer to the following Google user manual for
more information:
Magnifier
Introduction
The Video Magnifier application lets you magnify text or documents and adapts their size to your
visual needs. It provides different zoom levels and color contrasts using the rear camera.
Enlarge text
Place your SmartVision3 over a text to enlarge, adjust the height until the image is sharp. Use the
2 or 3 keys on your keyboard to respectively increase or decrease the zoom level.
Other options are:
OK key
: Allows you to focus the camera.
Key 1
: Increase or decrease the light level.
Star key
: Freeze the screen.
Key 0
: Take a photo and save it to the gallery.
Hash key
: choose from the 9 contrast colors available.
These different options are also available from the Menu key.
Good to know: Magnifier app preferences and settings are saved when you exit the app.

The Maps application is a standard app from Google that allows you to perform GPS navigation.
