Air Horn System
Your Krogen 58’ is equipped with a Kahlenberg Model M-511A Whistle Control (Air
Horn) System. The system consists of one solenoid valve, mounting bracket, plug
connectors, compressor, tank, valve, airhorn, switch key pad and associated wires,
connectors and tubing.
As part of your delivery packet from Kadey-Krogen, you received a “Kahlenberg Air
Horns, Instructions” manual which provides excellent comprehensive and detailed
information on the operation of your Air Horn. We highly recommend you become
familiar with the organization, content, and format of that manual. This owner’s manual
will highlight the more important items in the “Kahlenberg Air Horns, Instructions”
manual.
Operation
To energize the Air Horn, the circuit breaker labeled ‘ AIR HORN ’ on the 24V DC
NAV./COM. Electronics Panel located Starboard side of the steering station in the
Pilothouse must be
ON .
In the Flybridge, the horn button is located Starboard of the steering wheel.
Key Pad
In addition to the ‘ HORN ’ button, the Air Horn can be activated by the key pad located
Starboard side of the steering wheel in the Pilothouse.
