There are

two methods

of operating the fan in manual mode:

1.

Press the FAN key once on the SMXir Keypad/Display. Press either the Slow or
Fast key to adjust fan speed. Refer to the SMX II Control Systems (DX)
Installation-Operation Manual.

2.

When the fan is in automatic mode, it can be changed to manual mode by pressing
either the Slow or Fast key.

The fan speed is indicated by a row of five small LEDs below the FAN key.

Fan Speed Adjustment

Both the low and high speed adjustment can be adjusted to meet individual preferences.
The low speed setting may be adjusted, for example, to minimize fan noise in a
stateroom. The default setting and adjustment procedure are explained in the
SMX II Control Systems (DX) Installation-Operation Manual.

Fan Mode

You can select the fan to operate in continuous or cycle mode. In

continuous mode

, the

fan operates continuously. In

cycle mode

, the fan cycles on and off with the compressor.

information.

WARNING

For the most efficient operation of your system, you should normally keep the

low fan speed at the highest possible setting consistent with a comfortable noise

level. Running the fan speed too slow can damage the compressor.
