7. Turn ON the appropriate circuit breaker on the 120/240V AC Main Electrical
Panel No. 1 for the air conditioning unit you want to operate:
•
AIR CONDITION PILOTHOUSE
•
AIR CONDITION MASTER S.R.
•
AIR CONDITION GUEST S.R.
•
AIR CONDITION STATEROOM/DEN
8. Turn ON the circuit breaker labeled ‘ AIR CONDITION SALOON’ on the
120/240V AC Main Electrical Panel No. 2 if you want to operate the air
conditioning unit for the Galley and Main Saloon.
9. Check for seawater flow by observing the overboard discharge. The overboard
discharge for the four units in the Amidships Machinery Space is located Port and
Starboard side, Amidships. The overboard discharge for the Galley and Main
Saloon unit is Starboard side, Aft. If you
do not observe a steady water discharge
flow, immediately shut the system down and check the seawater system.
10. Adjust the temperature settings on the SMXir units as desired.
When 120/240V AC power is applied to the system at the circuit breaker, the SMXir
microprocessor retrieves from permanent memory the last operating configuration. This
process takes about four seconds, after which the system will begin operating just as it
had been when power was last turned off.
To turn
OFF the system, you should do the following:
1. Press the OFF key on the SMXir Keypad/Display unit. The Display remains
energized even when the system is off. The fan can be turned ON manually when
the system is in OFF mode.
2. Turn OFF the appropriate air conditioning circuit breakers on the 120/240V AC
Main Electrical Panel No. 1 :

AIR CONDITION MASTER S.R.
•
AIR CONDITION GUEST S.R.
•
AIR CONDITION STATEROOM/DEN
3. Turn OFF the circuit breaker labeled ‘ AIR CONDITION SALOON’ on the
120/240V AC Main Electrical Panel No. 2 .
4. Turn OFF the circuit breakers for ‘ #1 CONDENSATE DRAIN PUMP ’ and ‘ #2
CONDENSATE DRAIN PUMP ’ on the 24V DC Main Panel Disconnect.
5. Turn OFF the circuit breaker labeled ‘ AIR CONDITION S.W. PUMP ’ on the
120/240V AC Main Electrical Panel No. 1.
Remote Fan Operation
The fans can be operated in either manual mode or automatic mode. In manual mode ,
you select the fan speed. In automatic mode , the fan speed is determined by the unit as a
function of the difference between the temperature setting on the thermostat and the
inside temperature.
