This section describes operation of the product.
6.1
Operating the mechatronic cylinder
The mechatronic cylinder is a lock cylinder with a reader antenna and permutation

.
The reader antenna is located on the outside, while the permutation is in the cylinder
as usual. The mechatronic cylinder is operated by inserting and turning the user key
by hand. For the latch to pull back, the reader antenna must detect an authorisation.
The authorisation is issued by the operator of the locking system with the user key.
The user key is the "mechatronic key" that has the required access authorisation and
is authorised to open a door. An acoustic signal denotes access authorisation.

6.2
Opening with a user key
Before being used for the first time, access authorisations for the relevant system
software must be transmitted to the User key.

1. Insert the authorised user key into the cylinder.

2. After the acoustic signal, actuate the cylinder by turning the
user key.
3. The door can be opened.

If an attempt is made to gain access with unauthorised user
media, an acoustic¹ signal briefly sounds four times.
