If problems occur
The following information should provide help if something is not working as would
be expected.
Clearing Pouch Jams
If you inadvertently feed the laminating pouch into the laminator at an angle, or if the
rollers are soiled with too much residual adhesive, or if you try to laminate unsuitable
materials, laminating pouches can jam inside the laminator. Use the
ABS
(jam release)
function to clear a pouch jam quickly.
1.
Switch the ON/OFF switch to
OFF
.
2.
Disconnect the power plug from the power socket.
3.
Press the lever for the
ABS
(jam release) function on the rear of the device to the
right and hold it there. This releases the laminating pouch.
4.
Carefully pull the laminating pouch out of the feed side of the laminator. The
laminator must be cleaned following a pouch jam. Clean the laminator as
described in section Regular Cleaning.
Removing Deposits and Residual Adhesive
Adhesive and other residues on the rollers can impair the lamination result. Remove
these at regular intervals and whenever the lamination result is not as good as
expected.
1.
Switch the On/Off switch to
on
The drive motor for the rollers starts up.
2.
Set the function switch to
hot
Pay attention to the warm-up time stipulated in
"Technical Data".
3.
Fold a sheet of paper and feed it into the laminator with the folded edge first and
keeping it straight. Residual adhesive is removed and taken up by the paper when
ejected.
4.
Repeat the process with a new sheet of paper until the paper comes out clean.
Regular Cleaning
Clean the laminator at regular intervals.
1.
Before cleaning, disconnect the plug from the power socket.
2.
Use a damp, lint-free cloth to clean the surface of the laminator Do not use any
solvents or cleaning agents.
