Operation

counter halts the current count value. Generation of two pulses with

a pulse delay of four and a pulse-width of three is shown.

Mode 9: Edge Separation Measurement

Measures the time differentiation between two different pulse sig

nals. The first pulse signal is connected to GPTC_GATE and the sec

ond signal is connected to GPTC_AUX. Clocks that pass between the

rising edge signal of two different pulses through the 40 MHz inter

nal clock or external clock are calculated. You can calculate the time

period via the known clock frequency. The maximum counting width

is 32-bit. Decrease of the counter value in Edge Separation Measure

ment mode is shown.

Mode 10: PWM Output

The USB-1900 Series timer/counter can also simulate a PWM (Pulse

Width Modulation) output. By setting a varying amount of Pulse_ini

tial_cnt and Pulse_length_cnt, varying pulse frequencies (Fpwm) and

duty cycles (Dutypwm) can be obtained. PWM output is shown.
