1.
Plug machine into power point and switch on at point. Make sure both drip trays section is pushed in
properly.
2.
Open right-hand top lid and fill right-hand top container with Beans.
3.
Press top left start button on. Machine will read in
“
GERMAN
”
text. Rotary switch red illuminated
ring is on.
4.
Turn left-hand rotary switch until
“LANGUAGE ENGLISH”
is displayed. Then press centre of
rotary switch to lock in language.
“FILTER WATER - OPEN TAP”
will be displayed.
5.
Open left-hand top lid and lift out water tank and half fill with fresh
COLD
water. Place back onto
machine (vertically sliding downward).
6.
Place 500ml container under steam/water spout (right). Turn right-hand top rotary switch one-quarter
turn to left. Machine will now fill –
“SYSTEM FILLING”
will be displayed. Upon request – close
right rotary switch.
- Your machine will now display
“HEATING”
then
“PRESS RINSE”
.
7.
Press
“
MAINTAINANCE BUTTON”
.
Top right next to start button. Now your E80/E85 is ready for
water filter install.
INSERTING THE CLARIS FILTER CARTRIDGE
1.
Remove water tank from machine. Open filter retainer lid by pressing tab in and lift retainer up.
2.
Remove filter supplied from blue packet. Place small end down into bottom of tank vertically. Close
filter retainer lid and clip back to lock in. Fill water tank to ‘max’ line. Place tank back in machine.
3.
Press and hold
“P”
button next to left-hand rotary switch.
“FILTER”
will display.
4.
Push rotary switch
“NO’
will be displayed. Turn rotary one notch (left or right) until
“YES”
is
displayed. Push rotary once to lock-in yes
“INSERT/OPEN TAP”
will display.
5.
Place 500ml container under steam spout (right). Turn right-hand rotary quarter turn left.
“FILTER RINSING”
will display. Machine will rinse off 500ml of water.
6.
When rinsed
“SHUT TAP”
will display. Close right-hand rotary quarter turn to right,
“HEATING”
will then display.
7.
“READY”
will now display. Your filter is now programmed in.
