5 Operating the truck without its own drive system
WARNING!
Accidental truck movement
When the brakes are de-activated the truck must be parked on a level surface, since
the brakes are no longer effective.
u Do not release the brake on slopes or inclines.
u Do not park the truck with the brake released.
u
Apply the brake again when you reach your destination.
Preparing to move the truck without
its own drive system
Procedure
• Turn the Emergency Disconnect
switch and key switch off.
• Disconnect the battery.
• Prevent the truck from rolling away.
• Remove the drive panel.
• To do this undo the mounting
screws, carefully remove the
drive panel and pull off the fan
connector contained in the panel
(108).

Each drive wheel has its own drive motor and a magnetic brake. In order to move
the truck without its own drive system, both magnetic brakes must be released.
CAUTION!
Only use vehicles to tow the truck which have sufficient tow and brake forces
for the trailer load without its own braking system.
u Always tow the truck at walking pace.
u In particular be aware of the length of the truck including forks, and also that the
towed truck without a power supply cannot be steered actively.
