About KNX Sonos Gateway

Proper use
Sonos master devices can be connected via IP us ing dynamic group creation. Each mas ter device can then be
networked with s lave devices again. During this proces s , a separate mus ic program is either as s igned to each
mas ter device or a master device operates the entire device lands cape.
KNX Sonos Gateway is a device of the KNX s ystem and complies with the KNX guidelines .
Sonos goes KNX
Crys tal-clear hi-fi s ound and virtually unlimited s ound s cenarios : The Sonos s ound s ys tem gives digital mus ic
a divers e lands cape, compris ing different wireles s louds peakers and audio s ys tems . This acous tic marvel has
jus t one catch: Until now, the sys tem was operated inconveniently us ing a s pecial Sonos software, es pecially
when us ed with Sonos zones.
The KNX Sonos Gateway opens up the world of KNX to the family of s ound, making it even eas ier to handle. At
las t, Sonos can be operated with KNX operating devices , either in party mode or by room. Up to ten Sonos
mas ter devices can be connected via IP with dynamic group creation. Each of these mas ter devices , in turn,
can be networked with up to five s lave devices . During this proces s , a s eparate mus ic program is either as -
s igned to each master device or a mas ter device operates the entire device lands cape.
Connecting KNX and Sonos opens up new pos s ibilities :

Door contacts enable dynamic group creation.

Selecting the "Fires ide mus ic" playlis t lowers s hutters and adjus ts the lighting s uitably.

KNX Secure Ready
KNX Sonos Gateway is compatible with KNX Secure. The required FDSK (factory default s et-up
key) can be found on a sticker on the s ide of the device and is als o enclos ed with the device. De-
vices which do not feature this s ticker are not "Secure Ready".
