5.4 - Maintenance after planting
The good performance of a seeder is obtained soon after its use through the implementation of post-planting
maintenance, therefore, it is recommended that after the completion of sowing activities, the following tasks are perfor-
med:
a) hoses fertilizer, seed and fertilizer drivers and other rubber components must be removed from the machi-
ne, cleaned and stored in a dry place, protected from sunlight and well ventilated;
b) current should be removed and washed with kerosene or diesel oil, after leave them soaking in lube oil for
2 days and then put them in a closed plastic container;
c) Clean the shells of seeds to remove the waste products used in the treatment of seeds and / or inoculation.
Perform general cleaning of distributing seed boxes;
d) removing the remaining fertilizer deposits, and make the cleaning of all fertilizer spreaders;
e) the machine should be washed with mild soap and water to remove all residues, mainly of fertilizer, which
is the villain of corrosion;
f) release the pressure of all existing springs in the machine, letting them loose until the next planting. This
prevents the springs lose tension;
g) make lubrication at all points of the implement;
h) remove the dual discs and drill stops to check the condition of the bearings and seals. Adjust any slack;
i) inspect the implement: analyze for worn or broken parts (bearings, gears, bearings, etc.), making replace-
ment of damaged items;.
j) make the body repair, especially the parts that maintains contact with the fertilizer;
k) keep tire pressure as indicated herein;
l) at the end, you can spray the machine with agroprotetívo oil, to ensure greater protection. Not use diesel or
burnt oil. Protect the tires at the time of lubrication;
m) and store in a safe place, preferably covered;
n) removing the extender and articulate the header up and lock it;
o) storing the machine, on the support legs and shims in the hydraulic cylinders.
ATTENTION:
Use only original parts JUMIL because parts “pirates” can cause damage to the implement impairing its
operation, in addition to involve the loss of the guarantee provided by JUMIL.
Schedule in advance and get all the parts and components required for maintenance. Perform
maintenance in advance of the harvest.
6 - LUBRICATION
6.1 - Objectives of lubrication
Lubrication is the best guarantee of proper operation, performance and durability of the implement. This prac-
tice extends the life of moving parts and helps in saving maintenance costs.
Before starting work, make sure that the implement this properly lubricated, following the guidelines lubrication
for operation in normal working conditions. To work in the toughest conditions we recommend reducing the lubrication
intervals.
ATTENTION:
Before starting lubrication, clean the grease fittings to prevent contamination of the grease and replace
grease fittings damaged.
