5-6. Adjusting the stitch length

1) Turn the sttch length dal

 n the drecton of the 

arrow so that the number correspondng to the 

desred sttch length meets the marker dot

 en-

graved on the machne arm.

2) Numbers on the sttch length dal are calbrated n mm.

3) To perform reverse feed sttchng, press down the 

feed lever

 . The sewng machne performs re-

verse feed sttchng as long as you keep the feed 

lever held pressed. The feed lever wll return to ts 

home poston and the sewng machne wll run n 

the normal sttchng drecton when you release 

the feed lever.

5-7. Adjusting the condensation stitching

Sttch length can be reduced at the start or end of 

sewng. Ths feature s used for fastenng sttch.

1) Turn condensaton sttchng adjustng dal

the drecton of the arrow mark, and adjust the de-

sred number to engraved dot

Example : When sttch length dal

comes -2. (It s possble to adjust wthn the range 

of -2 to +2.)

Maximum feed amount is regulated to ±2 according to the gauge delivered (feed dog : 

22581508). Adjustment can be performed up to the range of m5 to -4 by replacing the 

gauge (feed dog : 22540009).

4) Note that the graduatons on the dal are mere reference. Adjust the condensaton sttchng whle actu-

ally observing the finished seam.

WArNING :

To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the 

following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest. 

5-5. threading the machine head

1) Turn the handwheel by hand to brng the needle to the most rased poston. 

2) Pass the thread n the order of the numbers as llustrated.

3) Pull out the thread about 10 cm from the needle after passng t through the needle.
