1) Turn the handwheel by hand to rase the needle
to ts hghest poston.
2) Take a bobbn by your rght hand wth the thread
drawn out about 5 cm from the thread end of the
bobbn and place t nto the bobbn case as llus-
trated.
3) Thread the bobbn case n the order of the numbers
and pull t out through the thread path as llustrated.
The bobbn rotates n the bobbn case n the drecton
shown by arrow when bobbn thread s drawn.
4) Rase bobbn case latch

and hold t between
your two fingers as shown in the figure on the left.
5) Insert the bobbn case nto the sewng hook shaft
as far as t wll go by puttng your hand from the
under cover of the nner hook. (Clck sounds.)
6) Release the bobbn case latch to let t steadly
rest n the closng poston.

How to use the bobbin case thread hole
1) Use hole A manly for zgzag sttches other than
2-step zgzag sttch and scallop zgzag sttch.
2) Use hole B manly for 2-step zgzag sttch and
scallop zgzag sttch.
6) In case that the bobbn thread s not wound even-
ly on the bobbn, loosen the nut

and turn the
bobbn thread tenson to adjust the heght of the
thread tenson dsk

• It s the standard that the center of the bobbn s
as hgh as the center of the thread tenson dsk.
• Move the poston of the thread tenson dsk
2
to
the direction A as shown in the figure on the left
when the wndng amount of the bobbn thread on
the lower part of the bobbn s excessve and to
the direction B as shown in the figure on the left
when the wndng amount of the bobbn thread on
the upper part of the bobbn s excessve.
After the adjustment, tghten the nut

7) Turn the thread tenson nut

to adjust the ten-
son of the bobbn thread wnder.

There may be a case where several stitches at the start of sewing are difficult to be knotted
when thread trimmer is used with thin filament thread such as (#50, #60 or #80) using hole B.
At this time, use the other hole or perform the sewing starting from the right.
WArNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.
5-4. Placing the bobbin case and the bobbin
Note 1. When winding bobbin thread, start winding
in the state that the thread between bobbin
and thread tension disk

is tense.
2. When winding bobbin thread in the state
that the sewing is not performed, remove
needle thread from the thread path of the
thread take-up and remove bobbin from the
hook.
