(3) Knee switch
The heght of the swtch can be adjusted n the
three stages. (It has been factory-adjusted to the
mddle stage at the tme of delvery.) Loosen two
screws

n the reverse sde of the knee swtch,
and fix the switch at a height where you can oper
-
ate t wth ease.
The swtch s used as the start swtch under the A
mode, and s used as the preset cancel swtch un-
der the B mode.
Whether the knee swtch or the hand swtch s used
as the start swtch can be selected wth the memory
swtch data

Be careful not to drop the knee switch
when removing the screw.
(4) Hand switch
Ths swtch s used as the start swtch or the preset cancel swtch.
(Refer to the aforementoned "Knee swtch".)

(5) Workpiece detector switch
Ths swtch prevents a malfuncton when there s no
workpece set on the machne.
If ether one of two detector swtches

detects a
workpece, the machne s actuated.
Take care not to place anythng other than the sew-
ng products or hands on detector swtches

If usng a pece of lght absorbng black materal, the
detector sensor may be noperatve. In ths case,
the detectng functon can be noperatve by select-

Use ths knob to adjust the seam allowance.
