9.3.1 Protective measures to pre-
vent corrosion
For water with water hardness 0 °e, plastic
pipes or corrosion-resistant pipes should be
laid.
For water with partial softening (about
10 °e), galvanised pipes and copper pipes
can be laid.
Our recommendation:
Installation of a JUDO JULIA dosing pump in
the mixing water pipe downstream of the
water softening system, so that the water
can be admixed proportionally with a JUL
mineral solution.
The JUL mineral solutions contain sub-
stance components that stabilise the re-
maining carbonate hardening components
and create the conditions for formation of a
homogeneous protective layer in the down-
stream pipe system. These substance com-
ponents correspond in the prescribed type,
quality and quantity to section 11 of the cur-
rent German Drinking Water Act (‘Treatment
substances and disinfection processes’).
