5 PREPARING THE
INSTALLATION SITE
51 GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
There are several factors that make combustion more
efficient in terms of thermal performance and low
emission of polluting substances (carbon monoxide
CO-). Some factors depend on the appliance in which
combustion takes place, while others depend on the
environmental characteristics, the installation and the
degree of maintenance carried out on the appliance.
Among the important factors are:
• combustion air,
• characteristics of the combustion products evacuation
system (Connection),
• fuel quality (moisture and size).
In the following paragraphs there are guidelines to be
observed for maximum performance of the purchased
product.
Provide access to allow and cleaning of the appliance, the
connection duct, and the smoke duct (or, if applicable,
the coaxial smoke exhaust and air supply system).
52 SECURITY MEASURES
Responsibility for the work carried out on the stove
installation site lies with the user, who is also responsible
for checking the suitability of the proposed installation
solutions. The user must comply with all local, national
and European safety legislation. The device must be
installed on a floor with sufficient bearing capacity.
The stove assembly and disassembly instructions are
reserved for specialised technicians. Users are invited
to contact an authorised service centre for specialised
technicians.
Always check the professionalism and preparation of the
technicians who have called on them. Before assembling
or dismantling the stove, the installer must observe the
safety measures provided for by law, in particular:
A) do not operate in difficult conditions,
B) work in perfect psycho-physical conditions and check
the condition of the personal protective equipment,
C) wear protective gloves,
D) wear protective shoes,
E) use tools fitted with electrical insulation,
F) check that the work area is clear and unobstructed
