Figure 8: Parts Shipped in NAE Order
•
Do not
mount in areas that are prone to vibration, such as
ductwork, and areas where electromagnetic emissions from other
devices can interfere with NAE communication.
•
Do not
drop the unit or strike it with tools.
•
Do not
share the power transformer 24 VAC secondary with
another load (could cause noise interference).
•
Do not
open the unit. The NAE has no user-serviceable parts
inside.
•
Do not
route the communication cables within 50 mm (2 inches)
of the vents slots in the sides the NAE housing.
•
Do not
install the NAE in an airtight enclosure.
Additional Notes for Enclosure Installations
If you plan to use an enclosure where the operating ambient
temperature is ever expected to reach 50
°
C (122
°
F) within the
enclosure, closely follow the considerations in
General Notes: All
Installations
and the following:
•
Do not
mount any heat-generating devices in the enclosure with
the NAE other than its power transformer and modem.
•
Do not
mount the power transformer below the NAE.
•
Do not
mount the NAE such that the enclosure wall or the
transformer obstructs its venting.
•
Do
understand that if you maintain temperature with a cooling fan,
the reliability of the fan is not guaranteed and you may need to
monitor the fan or temperature.
