5.1.4 Using the bead presser
during the demounting phase
A. Position the bead presser approx. 2 cm (3/4”) from
the rim edge.
Press down the sidewall of the tyre to ease the
introduction of the bead lifting lever ( Fig. 5.1.4-1 )
Move the roller to rest position.
B. Demount the first bead as previously described in
the manual.
C. Position the lower bead breaker disk next to the
lower rim edge. This operation must be carried out
using the mirror to check the correct positioning ( Fig.
5.1.4-2 ).
Lift the lower bead breaker disk to facilitate the
introduction of the cover lifting lever and then start the
rotation to break the tyre bead ( Fig. 5.1.4-3 ).
