Logical Volume Options
There are several operations that can be carried out using logical volumes. This
section will discuss the following: Creating a Logical Volume, Deleting a Logical
Volume, Increasing the Size of a Logical Volume, and LUN Mapping/Masking.
Creating a Logical Volume
In order to create a Logical Volume, click on either the Logical Volume tab in the
menu bar or the Create Volume button in the toolbar.
Using the array icon in the Logical Configuration Panel, is another way to build
a logical volume.
You can use the Logical Volume tab in the menu bar (see
) or the array
icon (see
), which will present the drop menu. Click on Create Logical
Volume as shown in the drop down menu in both examples. You will now have
access to the Create Logical Volume Window (see
the size of your logical volume. You can either accept the default size or type in
the size you want in the Desired Capacity box.
The following two examples illustrate how to create a Logical Volume.
