Engine Speed Sensor (Kubota Diesel Engine)
ALLOW ENGINE AND COMPONENTS TO COOL DOWN BEFORE SERVIC-
ING.
REMOVAL
1. Park the machine on firm and level surface.
2. Shut the engine OFF and disconnect the battery
power from the machine.
3. Open Engine side compartment doors and discon-
nect ground wire from battery.
4. Swing out the engine tray by removing the hardware
at the following locations: engine tray stay bracket,
top ladder bolt.
5. Loosen the nut (2) on the engine sensor and remove
the engine speed sensor (1) from the Coupler Hous-
ing (3).
INSTALLATION
1. Install engine speed sensor (1) into the coupler hous-
ing (3) until the sensor contact the flywheel.
2. Back out the engine speed sensor (1) by hand, 0.5 to
1 turns. Ensure the flats on the engine speed sensor
are vertical.
3. Tighten the nut on the speed sensor (2) using a span-
ner to the required torque specification (106 in. lbs
(12 Nm)).
4. Swing engine tray back into position by installing
the hardware at the following locations: engine tray
stay bracket, top ladder bolt.
5. Reconnect ground wire to battery terminal and close
engine side compartment doors.
