6.2

EMERGENCY LOWERING OF BOOM

In the event of total loss of engine power or hydraulic pump failure with an elevated load,
the situation must be properly evaluated and dealt with on an individual basis.

Contact

JLG Industries or the local Authorized Distributor for specific instructions.

Secure the telehandler using the following procedures:

1. Clear the area around telehandler of all personnel.

2. Engage the parking brake. Place the transmission control lever in “NEUTRAL”.

3. Block all four wheels.

4. Section off a large area under the boom to restrict any personnel from entering this

area.

5. See Service Manual for information.
