This Stealthbox is a product which
requires professional installation skills and
tools.
Please read this installation guide thor-
oughly before beginning the project. It
will guide you step by step through the
installation. Several of the steps in this
process may require two people to
accomplish.
It is absolutely vital that the enclosure
be properly mounted to the vehicle
according to these instructions. Failure
to mount the enclosure properly pres-
ents two problems: 1) The sub-bass
performance will suffer due to the
movement of the enclosure caused by
the force exerted by the woofer(s) and
2) A loose enclosure presents a serious
safety hazard in the event of a collision
or sudden deceleration.
Please enjoy your JL Audio Stealthbox
responsibly.
STEP 1:
Remove the driver’s side trim panel,
disconnect the speaker wires, if applicable.
STEP 2:
Remove the driver’s side carpet
from the cubby-hole in the corner of the
hatch. this piece of carpet will not be used in
the installation.Vehicle owner should keep this
carpet for possible future use, when removing
the Stealthbox.
STEP 3:
Insert the enclosure into the cubby-
hole, taking care to loft and tuck the wiring
harness above the enclosure as you slide as
you slide it in. Push the enclosure firmly into
place
Make sure the enclosure is all the way
in!!!
STEP 4:
Using the supplied four self-tapping
screws. Seucre the enclosure’s moutning
bracket to the flooring of the vehcile.
Appling black paint to the tops of the screw
heads, just make this isntall that much more
speacial.
Important: Once the screws are thight-
ened, spray under coating onto the
screw tips underneath the car to pre-
vent rust and leaks. Failure to do so
may result in corrosion and could ore-
sent a saftly hazard over time.
STEP 5:
Run speaker wires to the enclosure.
At this time, check the woofer for proper
operation.
