Maintenance

ATTENTION: Before every intervention on the device, turn the gas income off on the block valve
and remove the electric supply for ventilation.

We recommend the user to have a regular maintenance of the insert (see point 9, part user of this
manual).

In  addition  to  this  regular  maintenance,  for  good  working  of  the  device  and  for  security,  it  is
mandatory to have an annual maintenance on the insert. This must be done by a certified installer
or heating engineer.

Note:  previous  points  of  this  manual  take  up  the  different  ways  to  access  the  element  of  the
fireplace. Refer to these parts of the manual.

Inside cleaning of the insert

After  having  removed  the  door,  the  logs  and  vermiculite  of  the  burners,  clean  the  dusts  with  a
vacuum  cleaner.  Insist  on  burners'  trays,  the  burners'  contour  plate,  the  back  of  the  heating
chamber, the air inlet tray (where the injectors are) and the location of the pilot.

During this intervention, act carefully to avoid damaging the components, especially the pilot.

Clean the head of the pilot's thermocouple by means of a brush.

Scrub  with  a  soft  and  dry  cloth  the  walls  of  the  fireplace,  the  baffle  and  the  draft  reduction  if
installed.

Attention: do not use any cleaning product or water inside the insert.

If there are any signs of soot on the logs, scrub them carefully with a soft and dry cloth.

If necessary, touch up with paint.

Cleaning of the fans

The cleaning state of the fans must be checked.

Dust accumulation causes an unbalance of the turbine, which makes the motor force. By forcing,
the motor can burn or make noise.

Before every intervention, ensure to cut the electric supply.

Fan can be undusted when it is dirty. Do not push on the blades of the ventilation, at risk of folding
them and create an unbalance which will lead to an abnormal noise from the fan.

Grease the axes.
