High Voltage
Do not assume that safety devices will always work.
Use grounding sticks and cables with high voltage circuits.
Use rubber gloves that have been tested within the last six months,
when applicable.
Keep your feet clear of objects on the floor.
Stand on a rubber mat or non-conductive flooring.
Make sure another person qualified in first aid for electrical shock is
available.
Low Voltage
Use a ground mat to prevent static electricity discharges.
Do not touch any electronic card components when the power is ON.
Always disconnect the power when a system is not in use.
Power down before you change any hardware devices - a power
surge could damage the electronic components or the whole system.
Do not use Piezo ignited soldering irons they can damage populated
circuit boards.
Rescuing Shock Victims
Protect yourself with dry, insulating material.
Break the circuit by opening the power switch or by using insulating
material to pull the victim free of the live conductor.
Never touch a victim with your bare hands until the circuit is broken or
open.
