PROCEDURE FOR SYSTEM ADJUSTMENT
Should users wish to verify the output temperatures of JBC Advanced Series equipment we suggest using our
TI-A Thermometer
and the “
Temp Adjust
” mode by using the internal menu settings of the control units.
1) Turn on the station to be adjusted and
choose the working temperature in the
station.
2) Take the soldering iron and, when the
temperature is steady, apply fresh solder to
the tip of the soldering iron.
3) Clean the sensor of the thermometer from
previous flux residues if necessary.
4) Place the tip on the sensor of the
thermometer by forming an angle of 30ºC
as shown in the picture.
5) Check the solder on the tip is doing right
thermal contact to the sensor. If necessary,
add new fresh solder.
6) Wait until the temperature is steady.
7) To correct the possible error between the temperature shown by the display of the station, and the
temperature measured in the thermometer, access the “temp adjust” option, inside the “tool settings”,
in the main menu of the station.
8) Here you can modify the temperature of the tip by using the buttons of the station. For example, if you
see 350 degrees in the display, and 360 in the thermometer, you have to set -10 degrees in the “temp
adjust” option in order to adjust the tip temperature.
9) In the opposite case, if you read 350 degrees in the display, and 340 in the thermometer, you have to
set +10 degrees in the “temp adjust” option.
10) Save parameters and exit the menu.
11) Repeat from step 1 to 5 to verify.
