5000 SERIES HD TRAILER OWNER MANUAL
Drawbar Attachment:
•
The machine is designed with a clevis type hitch. See
Figure 12
for guidelines on proper coupling of
mixer to tractor:
Figure 12 - Drawbar Attachment
1. Hitch Pin –
Ensure hitch pin passes completely through clevis and drawbar with enough
clearance to secure the R-pin.
2. Clevis
3. Drawbar
– Ensure drawbar sits inside clevis.
4. R-Pin
– Pin should be sized properly so there is no chance of it slipping out of hitch pin
through-hole during mixer transport.
5. PTO Shaft
– Always ensure enough clearance for the shaft to operate without interfering
with the hitch or mixer frame.
PTO Shaft:
•
Standard and optional PTO shaft specifications are listed below:
Standard PTO shaft
#8, 1000 RPM, 1-3/4” dia. 20-spline hookup to tractor
#8, 1000 RPM, 1-3/8” dia. 21-spline hookup to tractor
Optional PTO shafts
#8 CV, 1000 RPM, 1-3/4” dia. 20-spline hookup to tractor
#8 CV, 1000 RPM, 1-3/8” dia. 21-spline hookup to tractor
#10 CV, 1000 RPM, 1-3/4” dia. 20-spline hookup to tractor
#10 CV, 1000 RPM, 1-3/8” dia. 21-spline hookup to tractor
IMPORTANT: Use of shaft adaptors is not recommended. This prevents operating at the wrong RPM.
Hydraulic System:
•
As a general rule, the tractor must be equipped with one remote hydraulic outlet for every unloading
door and discharge conveyor (or drop floor) equipped on the mixer. For example, a mixer equipped
with a front door, a conveyor and a rear door, will require three remote hydraulic outlets. Each
remote hydraulic outlet should have an output of
5 gpm (19 L/min) at 2000 psi (138 bar)
.
