8. MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

Examine

the leads from time to time

and wind insulating tape round insulation

cracks. Damaged insulating can cause short circuits possibly entailing serious
damage to the battery.

Clean

the sparking plug

periodically. Carefully scrape off any carbon deposits,

set the contact gap to 0.45 mm. (0.018 in.) by carefully bending the contact to the
plug body.

The fuse is located in a bakelite case in the L. H. box next to the battery. When
replacing never use a fuse stronger than
