MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENT
STRETCH STITCH BALANCE
When the stitch No. 18 is sewed with the stretch stitch adjusting knob (E) at the setting mark
(F), the stitch should be formed as shown in the figure below (A=B).
If forward feeding and backward feeding is not balanced, make adjustment in the following
procedure.
1. Remove the top cover (See page 4), and set the stretch stitch adjusting knob (E) at the
setting mark (F).
2. place a piece of paper under the presser foot, and turn the hand wheel to check the
needle drop position in forward (A) and backward feeding (B).
If (A) > (B), turn the adjusting screw (G) in direction of (C).
If (A) < (B), turn the adjusting screw (G) in direction (D).
4. Attach the top cover.
