III.8 Activating the Options
Reach the menu
OPTIONS
by pressing key
4
in the main menu. The following window
opens:
OPTIONS
LANGUAGE : ENGLISH
BACKLIGHT : ON
AUDIO :
ON
BATTERY VOLTAGE: 24.5 V
SCROLL = CHOICE
ENTER = VALID
This menu enables the operator to:
•
Choose the interface language: only two languages are offered: French and
English. English is the default language at power up.
•
To turn on/off the display backlighting feature: by default, backlighting is valid.
Backlighting mode being activated (ON) helps to read data in very poor visibility
conditions.
•
To check for battery voltage: Battery voltage is displayed in Volt and refreshed each
time the user comes to this menu.
•
To activate the command beep: This function enables or disables the “BEEP” audio
indicator, each time a character is typed in from the keyboard.
Note
Provisions have been made for a RS232/RS422 I/O port on. But at the time being, this
menu does not support RS232/422 link. RS232 link is set by default.
Step Action
1.
To swap from ENGLISH to FRENCH language (or vice versa), use
SCROLL
key and
press
ENTER
key to validate.
After exit the
OPTION
menu, the various menus are posted up with the chosen
language.
2.
To turn ON/OFF the backlighting mode: press
SCROLL
key to select the active state of
the backlighting function (
ON
or
OFF
), then press
ENTER
key to accept.
3.
To activate the command beep: scroll the different suggestions with
SCROLL
key and
validate it by pressing
ENTER
.
The main menu opens, according to the new options.
4.
End of procedure.
