ESCRIPTION
The HD100 Heavy Duty releasing system (ref. 354 9103) is made of an acoustic actuator
AR861S and a high strength steel frame. The TT801 remote control unit or equivalent is
necessary for operating the release operation.

The frame is the master part of the system (ref.: 910 2714). The frame is designed to
withstand the traction forces and to ensure the protection of the system elements that are
fastened to the frame.

The mechanical triggering system is directly installed on the acoustic release to initiate the
releasing process. The mechanical triggering system is composed of the following
elements:
•
Block Diagram: is located between the acoustic actuator and the high strength steel
frame, is designed for load releasing.
•
Hook: hooks up and release a ring.
•
Safety Pin: (ref.: 910 4228) is fitted in position to prevent any accidental release
when the unit is armed. The safety pin ensures safe operating conditions. The
safety pin must be removed prior to launching the load.

In case of failure of the acoustic triggering system, an emergency mechanical triggering
system called “ back-up ROV ” can be operated from either side of the frame by a ROV.
