In case of failure of the acoustic system, the mechanical arm of a ROV can activate an
emergency mechanical releasing system. See the mechanical drawing of this release in
. Refer to the global drawing for part references in Appendix A and Appendix B.
Two handles trigger this mechanical releasing system. These handles are located on each
side of the HD100 and are accessible from outside the frame.
