DANGER!
Risk of injury due to running pump!
–
Do not touch the pump when it is running.
–
Do not work on the pump when it is running.
–
If possible: Allow the pump to cool prior to work.
WARNING!
Risk of injury and poisoning due to hazardous pumped media!
–
Use personal protective equipment during all work on the pump.
1.
Check at suitable intervals:
n
Temperature of bearings with metal cage
(Alarm at 100 °C, shut-down at 120 °C),
n
No change to the normal operating states,
n
Alignment of the coupling and state of the elastic elements,
n
Function of safety equipment (
manufacturer's specifications),
n
Proper condition of the auxiliary systems,
n
if available: Rupture disc is intact (
manufacturer's specifications),
n
Sealing system and condition of the barrier fluid,
n
all warning and information signs fitted and legible.
2.
Ensure for trouble-free operation:
n
no dry run,
n
tightness,
n
no cavitation,
n
valves open on inlet side,
n
valves open on outlet side,
n
filter free and clean,
n
sufficient supply pressure,
n
no unusual running noise or vibrations,
n
no impermissible leakage in the shaft seal,
n
function of the auxiliary systems,
n
within the framework of the inspection intervals, check the rigid body
vibrations, e.g. influences to the pump via foundations or pipeline con-
nections,
n
Regularly clean the surfaces in order to prevent deposits of more than
5 mm.
