SMS command password
– 4 characters (digits and Latin characters, case-sensitive), default value –
5492;
output number (out1, out2 or out3);
command (if the command is not specified, the device produces the signal set in the settings);
duration (for pulse only).
The samples of SMS messages for pins control:
5492 out3
– the signal, specified in the modem settings, appears at pin 3 (pulse or trigger).
5492 out2 up
– pin 2 is set to the active state.
5492 out3 down
– pin 3 is set to the passive state.
5492 out2 pulse
– a pulse appears at pin 2. The pulse duration is equal to the value set in the modem
settings (default value
– 1 second);
5492 out2 pulse
– a pulse of 2 seconds duration appears at pin 2.
4.18. Operating with Incoming SMS Messages
Incoming SMS commands are used for pins control in this modem version (see section
) to enter and exit the offline mode (see section
) as well as for single con-
nection to the server (see section
"Connecting to the Server via SMS Commands"
).
The SMS commands, received by the modem, are displayed in the log, and the password specified in the
SMS command is not displayed in the open form. If the password or command is invalid, the modem ignores
the SMS command received. If the password is invalid, the log prompts an error message
"Password Error"
.
4.19. Modem Operation in the Server Mode
The server mode can be relevant if a company rents an access point (APN) from the mobile network carrier
(or a public static IP address is rented for each modem). When APN is rented to all devices of the system (mo-
dems and a dispatcher center), private IP addresses are set. In this case, there is no need to rent public static
IP addresses for modems or operate with modems via the iRZ Collector server (see Fig. 4.6).
