2.6 Web Configuration - SMB Server
You can create a maximum of 16 accounts. For folders and account names, use only the English
alphabet, without any special characters or spaces. The ports used by the SMB server are 137-139.
The default account is created automatically. The user name is “guest” and no password has been
set. Like any other account, you can modify, delete or disable it.
Note
Only the folders on the sharing list will be accessible on the network. Select an account, click
Modify
and then use the arrow buttons to add and remove the folders from that list.
Important
Deleting a folder will also erase all the files that are stored inside that directory!
2.6.1 Adding a new Account
1. To create a new account and share files, click
New
.
2. Enter a name and a password for the user of the new account. Define the access rights for
the new user, Read Only or Read/Write, and click
Add
.
