Hardware Operations

2.5 System Memory

The motherboard supports 16 DDR3 DIMM slots, including Registered DIMMs (RDIMM),

Load Reduced DIMMs (LRDIMM) and Unbuffered DIMMs (UDIMM). There are four DIMM

channels per CPU, and 2 DIMM slots per channel. Data transfer rates can support DDR3

800/1066/1333/1600.

The location of DIMM sockets on the motherboard is shown below:

There are sixteen DIMMs on the motherboard to support the processor. The DIMM

sequence of sixteen DIMM sockets is respectively shown below.
