5. CARE, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
5.1 CARE
Please only clean your Venetian blinds, when they are fully down. Never hold on to slats or
guiding rails, but use safe means to get up (e.g. ladder).
NOTE:
■
Always disconnect from power supply by taking fuse out or switching power off, before
working on the system (maintenance, cleaning).
■
Never pull on the cord guide.
■
Watch out for protruding edges (especially when cleaning the window sill below the guiding
rails).
■
Never press too hard against the slats, they could kink.
■
Never use a pressure cleaner. The surface of the slats might be affected by the pressure
and heat.
■
Remove dust with a soft brush.
■
Only use mild, standard household cleaner and rinse off the residue with clear water.
■
Do not use abrasive cleaners, scrubbing sponges or solvents (like e.g. alcohol, petrol).
PLEXOLux slat guide:
Please observe the following with care of acrylic glass/perspex: only clean the material with
a damp micro fibre cloth. Do not use any cleaning agents as these might damage or affect
the brilliant surface. Anti-static-polish leaves a slight dull, cloudy film on transparent material.
Leave to air-dry or dry with a clean, previously moistened artificial or natural leather cloth.
The micro fibre cloth and the leather cloth should only be used for cleaning acrylic glass and
should be rinsed well beforehand. Never wipe dust off dry!
