Prepare the Cabinet
1. Place the air conditioner on a hard flat surface.
2. Locate the foam gasket (included) and top
angle rail (included).
3. Attach the foam gasket to the top angle rail.
NOTE
: Your units may have the seal strip already
attached to the top mounting rail. If applicable,
skip this step.
4. Install top angle and side retainers to cabinet
as
shown below.
5. Slide “I” section of window filler panel into side
retainer on the side of cabinet. Do both sides.
6. Insert top and bottom legs of window filler
panel frame into channel in the top angle and
bottom rail. Do both sides.
7. Insert washer head locking 7/16” screws (2) in
to holes in top leg of filler panel frame (See
Extend the Accordion Panels on Page 8.) Do not
totally tighten. Screws will be tightened in later
steps.
Install the Cabinet into the Window
NOTE:
Handle air conditioner gently.
Be sure your air conditioner does not fall out
of the opening during installation or removal.
The place where the power cord exits the air
conditioner should be no more than 5 ft from
a grounded 3 prong outlet.
Do not block the louvers on the front panel.
Do not block the louvers on the outside of
the air conditioner.
Prepare the Window
Open window and mark center of the window sill.
Install the Cabinet
1. Center the air conditioner in window. Check
that lower rail of air conditioner is behind and
against back side of window sill.
Maintain a firm
hold on the air conditioner cabinet. Lower
window sash to hold cabinet in place.
