User Control Function

A user control function command displays the current status of the Sabre 1555 unit.
Table 4-27 lists the function command parameters.

ASI frame: <ASI><IMC><Product_status function><status> (status = <trigger
status><battery status><current RFID operating mode status><buffering mode status>

- Trigger status [0 - 3]

0x00: Trigger released

0x03: Trigger still pulled

- Battery status [0 or 10]

0x00: battery discharged

0x10: battery OK

- Current operating mode status (1 byte). (See “Operating Mode Selection” setup
command in “RFID Operating Mode Selection” on page 4-47. These codes are listed
below:

0x01 = Tag Identify *default

0x02 = Bar Code

0x05 = Tag Read

0x09 = Tag Write

0x0D = Tag Read Write

0x11 = Tag Filter

0x15 = Tag Filter Read

0x19 = Tag Filter Write

0x1D = Tag Filter Read Write.
