Adapter (1000AA06) Instructions
Configuring the COM Port
Before you attach the adapter for the first time, you need to configure the
COM port.
1 Tap Start > Settings > System > Intermec Settings >
Communications > Serial Port Switch > select COM5 docking.
2 When prompted to save and reboot, tap ok.
3 Tap OK to save.
4 Press the Power button.
5 Tap Reboot . The computer systematically reboots.
Attaching the Adapter
After you attach the adapter, you have the option of installing the adapter
with the screws provided.
Configuring the Adapter
After you attach the adapter, you need to enable the adapter.
1 Tap Start > Settings > System > Intermec Settings > Data Collection >
Magstripe reader > Enable MSR .

Tap OK . The computer is now configured to use the magstripe reader.
Note: When the magstripe reader is initially attached, the status
LED is solid for 3 seconds.
