 Server System SR2600UR/SR2625UR Service Guide

Removing and Installing the Processor Air Duct

Always operate your server system with the processor air duct in place. The air duct is 

required for proper airflow within the server system.

For instructions on adding or replacing a processor, see 

“Installing or Replacing the 

Processor” on page 59

. Return to these instructions to reinstall the processor air duct after 

installing your processor and heatsink.

Removing the Processor Air Duct

To remove the processor air duct, follow these steps:

1. Remove the PCI riser assembly. For instructions, see 

“Removing the PCI Riser 

Assembly” on page 50

.

2. Lift the processor air duct from its location over the two processor sockets.
