12. Plug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable into the server.

Replacing the Rotor Fan

1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See

“Safety

Information”

2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable.

3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see

“Removing the Server

System Cover”

4. Disconnect the fan cable from the server board.

5. Lift the rotor vertically.

6. With a new rotor, set it on the chassis. Make sure all four holes in the fan match the

four stubs of the chassis.

7. Connect the fan cable to server board.
